Join Our Team as a Program Manager I - Bringing Magic to Youth Development!

Are you ready to lead transformative programs that leave a lasting impact on the lives of youth? We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Program Manager I to join our team at Maine Youth Alliance!

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management (70%):

● Plan and implement outcome-driven weekly, monthly, and seasonal programs.

● Design and deliver special program weeks and peripheral programs.

● Coordinate field trips with outside contacts and venues.

● Conduct after-action reports and observe programs in action.

Operational Tasks (30%):

● Maintain member rosters and track attendance.

● Ensure fiscal accountability for program line items.

● Keep records and files (both online and hard copy) organized.

Essential Functions:

● Develop and nurture outcome-driven long-term program groups.

● Maintain program calendars and announcements.

● Organize, clean, and steward program areas, equipment, and vehicles.

● Coordinate annual and ongoing membership enrollment activities.

● Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with program members.

● Implement Individual Growth Plans for each member based on Positive Youth Development principles.

● Oversee mentoring, circle of care, and support activities for members.

Supervision:

● Motivate the team through effective communication and relationship building.

● Use principles of Positive Youth Development in staff and volunteer relationships.

● Provide on-the-job coaching and training for team members.

Outreach:

● Help coordinate special events, volunteer projects, and fundraisers.

● Represent the program to schools and community organizations for outreach and recruitment.

Schedule:

● 32-40 hours a week with some evenings and weekends required. Some longer weeks as field trips require overnights.

Education and Experience:

● Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in adolescent/human development, education, or related field.

● Two years of experience in youth-serving organizations.

● Demonstrated ability in running role-play games, community resource management, mentoring, and Positive Youth Development.
